The GPU benchmark scores for the Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max Apple Silicon chips have been released. According to the Metal scores on the GeekBench score library, the M2 Pro has 19 GPU cores and the M2 Max has 38 GPU cores, a 30 percent increase in graphics performance compared to the M1 Pro and M1 Max.

According to the latest Metal score test results, Apple’s high-end M1 Ultra chip for Mac Studio from last year is still the most powerful in terms of graphics performance, still scoring 9 percent better than the M2 Max.

On the M2 Pro’s CPU scores, with the M2 Pro in the new MacBook Pros scored around 1,900 single-core and 15,000 multi-core scores, which means they’re up to 20 percent better than the M1 Pro and M1 Max. This means that their CPU performance is up to 20 percent higher than that of the M1 Pro and M1 Max, which is in line with Apple’s official claims of an increase.
According to the GeekBench score database, the MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip appeared in the database several times on 18 January, with scores of up to 2030 on the single core and 15333 on the multi-core. The M2 Pro scored 1952 single-core and 15,013 multi-core on GeekBench, so there’s not much difference between the two in terms of CPU.
