Apple M1 and M2 series chips improve Up to 2x performance of AutoCAD 2024

Autodesk today issued a press release updating its AutoCAD 2024 and AutoCad LT 2024 software for macOS to include native support for Apple Silicon chips such as the M1/M2.

Dania El Hassan, director of product management for Autodesk AutoCAD, said in a press release that performance can be increased by up to 2x. Some of the content as follows:

The new versions of AutoCAD for Mac 2024 and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2024 focus on performance improvements and run natively on Apple Silicon chips.

Both applications take full advantage of Apple Silicon chip performance to accelerate user workflows and increase productivity.

The update also introduces marker import, marker assist, smart block placement, trace updates, and more. The full update can be found on the official Autodesk website.
