Two of Apple’s top executives in charge of its online retail stores and information systems divisions are leaving the company, bringing changes to two key business units of the tech giant, people familiar with the matter said.

Anna Matthiasson, Apple’s vice president of online retail, is leaving the company, people familiar with the matter said. Meanwhile, Apple’s chief information officer Mary Demby is retiring after 30 years on the job. In 2019, Apple hired David Smoley as vice president of Demby’s team. Previously, he served as chief information officer of pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca. Unlike Denby, Mathiasen has been vice president of online retail for a relatively short time, only about three years. She previously served as an operations executive at Apple.

Their departures mean that Apple has lost at least three vice presidents in recent weeks. Vice presidents are the top management level below the executive team led by Apple CEO Tim Cook. The media reported earlier this month that Evans Hankey, Apple’s vice president of industrial design, was also leaving the company. Jane Horvath, Apple’s chief privacy officer, also left the company in recent weeks to take a job at a law firm.

An Apple spokesman declined to comment on the latest executive departures.
