Apple is working to fix the problem of thin horizontal lines on the iPhone 14 Pro screen

Apple has admitted that the iPhone 14 Pro, and especially the iPhone 14 Pro Max, may have a blinking horizontal line on the display when the device is powered on.

Last month, a number of iPhone 14 Pro users reported that green and yellow blinking horizontal lines appeared on the iPhone display when the device was powered on. It was not known at the time whether Apple was investigating the issue or whether the problem was a hardware or software issue.

Now in a new memo, Apple has acknowledged the issue and allayed user concerns about whether the problem stems from a hardware defect, confirming that it is investigating the issue and will soon release an iOS update to address the problem. In the memo, Apple said, “iPhone 14 Pro users may notice that when they turn on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen. Apple is aware of this issue and will soon have a software update that will address this issue.”

The iOS 16.3 is currently in beta testing and the official version is not expected to be available for at least a few more weeks. Last month Apple released iOS 16.2, and Apple may address the issue by releasing iOS 16.2.1.
