Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple is already developing 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models equipped with M3 chips, which are expected to be released in 2024.

According to reports, the current 13-inch MacBook Air will be released in June 2022, while the 15-inch model will be available next week. Both models currently feature M2 chips built on TSMC’s 5nm process.

Regarding the M3 chip, it is reported that it will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process to improve performance and energy efficiency. The M3 chip should have a similar CPU and GPU core count as the M2 chip, Mark Gurman said.

Additionally, Mark Gurman said new iMacs and 13-inch MacBook Pro models with M3-series chips are also in the works. He expects a new iMac to launch early next year, with a design similar to the M1 model introduced in 2020.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is now available for order and will be officially released on June 13, offering four appearances in midnight, starry sky, silver, and space gray, with a starting price of 10,499 CNY.
