Apple iPhone SE 4 renders revealed, based on iPhone XR design

According to Jon Prosser, Apple’s iPhone SE 4 will feature an almost identical design to the iPhone XR, and he’s brought renders to show it off.

Jon Prosser says that Apple’s iPhone SE 4 will get the design from the 2018 iPhone XR. This change makes sense given that the initial iPhone SE design was based on the 2013 iPhone 5s, while the iPhone SE 2/3 design was based on the 2017 iPhone 8.

The latest information expands on Jon Prosser’s initial claims from August this year, but he’s still not clear on the device’s internals and specs – although some older hardware may be used to keep costs down. Third-party designer Ian Zelbo has created some renders that purport to accurately depict the new device.

The iPhone SE 4 was rumored before the iPhone SE 3 model launched earlier this year, and Jon Prosser’s latest claim is in line with display analyst Ross Young’s recent prediction that the next iPhone SE will feature a 6.1-inch display with a bangs “notch” at the top of the display. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first said that Apple was working on an iPhone SE with a 6.1-inch LCD display. The design of the next iPhone SE 4 seems to be largely consistent.
