Ever since Apple launched “Dynamic Island” for the iPhone 14 Pro series, there have been a lot of gods designing similar features for other phones, with varying experiences, mostly for Android phones.
Today, Apple iOS jailbreak developer Elias Limneos has released a “DynamicPeninsula” for iPhone with bangs, bringing the feature to older iPhone models.
The tool is described as bringing most of the Dynamic Island effect from iPhone 14 Pro to all iPhone devices with bangs, including iPhone X / XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and more.
Lingering Bangs provides a smooth animated UI for
- Call timer
- Music / Now Playing App
- Do Not Disturb events
- Screen recording
- Connected Bluetooth devices
- Volume / Mute on/off event
- Battery charge / low battery event
The tool is compatible with iOS 13 to iOS 15.7 and supports both OLED and LCD screens, the downside of course is that it requires a jailbroken iPhone and costs $3.99 (currently about $28).
However, according to users, there are still some adaptation issues with the tool, which Elias Limneos says will be fixed in the next version.
