According to foreign technology media Ars Technica report, Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series models are equipped with “completely standard” USB-C ports, there are no restrictions on cables or accessories.
Prior to Apple’s official release of the iPhone 15 / Pro series, there were reports that Apple had imposed restrictions on cables and accessories through its “Made for iPhone” program.
Citing the media outlet, the four iPhone 15 models are compatible with existing USB-C cables, chargers, and related accessories, as are iPads and Macs with USB-C ports.
The outlet also noted that Apple may still introduce a “Made for iPhone” certification program for iPhone accessories with USB-C ports, though non-certified devices will work fine on the iPhone 15 models.
