Apple iPhone 15 Pro HD renders revealed again: titanium alloy mid-frame and more

Foreign tech media 9to5Mac shared a high-definition CAD render of the iPhone 15 Pro last month, and in its latest blog post, it has produced a more accurate CAD render based on more information gathered from MFi accessory manufacturers.

Titanium mid-frame

The biggest change to the iPhone 15 Pro model is the new titanium center frame and more rounded corners. Previously, many iPhone users complained that the edges were too sharp and not conducive to grip, but this adjustment should improve the experience.

Camera

In addition to the titanium frame, Apple has also increased the size of the iPhone 15 Pro’s camera. The CAD file shows that the individual lens protrudes more than twice as much compared to the iPhone 14 Pro’s camera.

However, CAD files show that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a lower camera bump height, which could be attributed to the periscope camera. This means that the iPhone 15 Pro has a larger camera bump than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Switch to the USB-C port

The new iPhone 15 Pro’s USB-C port uses Thunderbolt Lightning Fast mode, while the two base models are limited to USB 2.0 rates.

Tactile volume and mute buttons

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra (or iPhone 15 Pro Max) models ditch the mute paddle on the side of the device that has been there since 2007 and replace it with an Apple Watch Ultra-like Action Button that allows users to customize it in a variety of ways based on their preferences.

Further narrowing of the bezel

Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max has a screen bezel of just 1.55mm, breaking the Xiaomi 13 record of 1.81mm.

Body size:

The iPhone 15 Pro measures 70.46mm x 146.47mm, with a thickness of 8.24mm. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro measures 71.45mm x 147.46mm, with a thickness of 7.84mm.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max information is as follows:

New color scheme

9to5Mac has learned that the iPhone 15 Pro will come in a new deep red color; the exact color code is 410D0D. This color is rumored to be released alongside Apple’s usual white, deep sky black, and gold, and will replace deep purple.
