According to Reuters, Apple’s manufacturing partner Hon Hai Foxconn expects its major iPhone factories to resume full production around the end of December or the beginning of January. Depending on the progress of the situation, it currently takes about 3 to 4 weeks to resume production and is gradually “restoring production capacity to normal levels”.
Foxconn is responsible for assembling about 70 percent of the iPhones sold by Apple, but production may have dropped by 30 percent due to supply disruptions. Foxconn’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are currently being severely impacted.
Apple is struggling to maintain supply, and iPhone 14 Pro models are currently facing at least a 4-week shipping delay in the U.S. Apple Online Store. The China online store is facing a 4-5 week shipping delay.
Analyst reports show that in the 13th week after the release of the iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 14 Pro series has seen its global shipping time shorten from 35 days to 29 days from the previous week, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus shipping times remain at 3 days.
The shorter global shipping time for the iPhone 14 Pro Series also means that shipping times in key markets around the world have improved significantly.
