Apple iPhone 14 Pro camera has blurry and shaky images in third-party apps

0

Some Apple iPhone 14 Pro series users are reporting blurry and shaky images accompanied by a physical buzzing sound when using the camera with third-party apps, according to a report from foreign media 9To5Mac and Apple Insider.

Users are reporting that popular third-party apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram are all experiencing the issue, and it appears to be related to OIS optical stabilization.

The issue can be seen in the video below, which appears to be caused by optical stabilization not being compatible with third-party apps, causing the lens to shake on its own and make a strange sound.

The problem is currently limited to iPhone 14 Pro series models using the camera in third-party apps, so it is likely to be a software problem that we can wait for Apple or third-party apps to push out updates to solve.

Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series comes with a new 48-megapixel wide-angle main camera that supports four-in-one pixel technology, 24mm focal length, ƒ/1.78 aperture, and second-generation sensor-shifting optical image stabilization. It also features a new 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (1.4 microns per pixel size).

Meanwhile, iPhone 14 Pro has a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto lens with a ƒ/2.8 aperture. And with a 48MP quad sensor in the main camera, iPhone 14 Pro also supports a 2x zoom with the same rich detail.
