According to a new report from market research firm CIRP, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are the most popular models of Apple phones, accounting for nearly half of total sales. CIRP analysts noted that it is highly unusual for Apple to achieve an increase in the average selling price in a quarter that is typically less than ideal. Typically, Apple’s average selling price peaks in September and December each year, when new phones are released and holiday sales take place. However, Apple has managed to attract more users to high-end phones by optimizing its product portfolio and offering an extensive recycling program.
CIRP believes that the high recycling value of Apple phones is also supported by strong demand in the global used iPhone market. This has both lowered the cost of buying new phones and implicitly encouraged users to buy higher-end models, as they believe these phones will retain their value better.
