Apple released iPadOS 16 Developer Preview Beta 3 early this morning, bringing improvements such as Lockdown mode, iCloud shared photo library, and the star feature “Front Desk Scheduler”.

According to MacRumors, iPadOS 16 Beta 3’s “Front Desk Scheduler” is now optimized for iPhone apps, allowing users to use “Front Desk Scheduler” with apps developed for the iPhone as a separate window.

This improvement means that many apps that don’t have an iPad version can now run the iPhone version to get a better experience with Scheduler.

In addition, according to B-site user @ElyElysium, iPadOS 16 Beta 3 already supports multiple game windows, which means the previous restriction of having to support split-screen browsing has been removed. Players can also play games and chat at the same time.

▼ Previously, multi-window game opening was not available, showing that split-screen browsing was not supported.

IT Home has learned that “Front Desk Scheduling” is a new multitasking experience. Users can overlap windows and resize them on iPad. The main app’s window that the user is working on is front and center, and other recently used apps are located on the left side for quick access when swapping is needed.
