According to Brazilian blog MacMagazine, changes in the information on the product page of Apple’s official website indicate that the company has begun assembling iPhone 15 models in Brazil.

The media visited the Brazilian Apple Mall. On the iPhone 15 checkout page, the part number ended with “BR/A”. According to local regulations in Brazil, this number means that it was assembled and produced in Brazil. Note: If the product is imported for sale in Brazil, the product label will be “BE/A” or “BZ/A”.

According to information displayed on Apple’s Brazil page, the models assembled in Brazil are limited to the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 standard version, while the iPhone 15 Plus and two iPhone 15 Pro models are still imported.

Brazil imposes high taxes on imported products, so some companies invest in assembling products in Brazil to reduce tax payments.
