Mercedes-Benz announced last month that its new E-Class sedan will support Apple Car Key, which allows you to use your iPhone and Apple Watch as car keys to unlock, lock and start your car.
The latest revelation is that the word “MBAG” appears in Apple’s background support data, indicating that it is already living in the background.
Currently, only a few brands such as BMW, BYD, Genesis, Hyundai and Kia have introduced support for this feature in some models, which can replace the traditional car key.
Lotus also appeared in Apple’s profile 1 month ago, indicating upcoming support for the feature.
Mercedes-Benz introduced Digital Vehicle Key last week as part of the KEYLESS-GO Comfort Kit, which supports sharing digital vehicle keys to up to 16 people and allows you to specify the permissions of the person you are sharing with, such as access to the vehicle only or permission to drive the vehicle.
