According to the latest list published by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a smart table involving fully automatic/semi-autonomous driving cars.
According to the patent description, the smart table is equipped with various sensors such as force sensors and motion actuators and can move with degrees of freedom (DOF).
Apple places a display under the glass top that can be used as a large display. Apple also pointed out that the secondary use of this table may be for a future office or home office, and the patent does not provide details about the future application of this scenario.
- Motion sensor: It can automatically adjust the position of the table in the car interior according to the user input instructions.
- Force Sensors: Used to measure the force exerted by the user on degrees of freedom. The controller operates the motion actuators to move the tabletop according to the force measured by the force sensor.
