Eight years after the introduction of Apple Pay, Apple has finally announced that the service will soon be available in South Korea, supporting in-store, in-app and online shopping.

Apple announced the news in a press release announcing the new yellow version of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Korean.

"In addition, with Apple's upcoming launch of Apple Pay in Korea, Korean customers will be able to use Apple Pay to make simple, fast and secure payments on their iPhone, with online merchants and in apps."

Apple has not yet announced a specific date for the official launch of Apple Pay in South Korea, where the service was previously expected to launch last November but the launch date was delayed due to a request from the local regulator, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS).
