According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Apple, AMD and Nvidia in the AI field competition white-hot, rumors of the recent synchronization of TSMC under the urgent order, the relevant chip will be gradually output in April after.

The industry mentioned that from the viewpoint of computing power, ChatGPT, the most successful application of AI chips, has imported at least 10,000 high-end NVIDIA GPUs; in addition, Apple’s new M2 series chips continue to import AI gas pedal design; AMD also released new products, its most popular “Alveo V70” AI chip, using The most popular “Alveo V70” AI chip, designed with TSMC 5/6nm Chiplets, is planned to be launched within this year.

TSMC previously pointed out in the legal conference, by the semiconductor inventory adjustment, the first half of this year’s revenue will be reduced by mid to high single-digit percentage (about 4% to 9%), the second half of the dollar revenue is expected to grow compared to the same period last year, even if the global semiconductor industry is facing a recession this year, TSMC’s annual results are still expected to grow slightly.

Legal estimates, the three major customers AI chip rush single, TSMC 2nd quarter NTD-denominated revenue is expected to reduce the quarterly decline to about 3%, towards the full-year counter-trend growth of the road. If the inventory digestion progresses as expected, TSMC is expected to return to the high growth track next year at the earliest, and move towards the goal of an annual revenue of $100 billion.

Industry sources pointed out that the current PC and Netcom high inventory de-stocking pressure, mainly affecting TSMC 6/7 nanometer capacity utilization, but in Apple, AMD and Nvidia accelerated AI layout, related gas pedals and chip design applications mainly to TSMC 5 nanometer family process production, making TSMC 5 nanometer family capacity utilization is still strong.

Research firm Counterpoint forecasts that AMD and Nvidia will focus on 4/5nm production for their new products and are expected to launch CPU/GPU products using TSMC’s 3nm family process after the second half of 2023. Due to the steady and rapid growth in demand, it is estimated that about half of TSMC’s 5nm family production capacity will be handled by AMD and Nvidia in 2023, while the other half will be taken by Apple.
