While some Galaxy smartphones still haven’t received the December 2022 security update, the Galaxy Note 10 is a distant second, and the smartphone has become the world’s first Android device to receive the January 2023 security update.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ is firmware version N970FXXS8HVL3, which is currently rolling out in Switzerland and is expected to expand to other European countries within a few days, with the rest of the world likely to get the update by the end of the month. Samsung has not yet revealed which security vulnerabilities are fixed by the January 2023 security patch.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 pre-installed, the series of smartphones received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in late 2020, and the One UI 4 update based on Android 12 in late 2021 for these smartphones, and the Galaxy Note 10 series could not get the Android 13 update.
