Google introduced the future functions of Android Auto car software at the CES 2024 exhibition today. The relevant content as follows:

Google Chrome browser lands in Android Auto software

Google announced that it will gradually push Chrome browser updates to some Volvo and Polestar cars, allowing users to use the browser to synchronize their account information, preferences, and history in order to get a more “personalized experience.”

Google Maps improvements
In the future, Android Auto users can see real-time battery information of their mobile phones directly in the sidebar of the central control map. Related functions will be pushed to Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 models first, and then to other “eligible models”.

Google also mentioned that in the future, users can use the Android/iOS version of “Google Maps” to share their driving routes directly from the mobile platform to “eligible models”, eliminating the cumbersome process of manually setting up navigation again.

More App support
Google will add more application support to Android Auto, including PBS Kids children’s audio and video platform, Crunchyroll audio and video platform, The Weather Channel weather application, etc.
