AMD Zen4 Ryzen 9 7950X can soar to 5.85GHz if the condition met

There have been rumors that the AMD Zen4 flagship model Ryzen 9 7950X can run to a maximum acceleration frequency of 5.85GHz, but the final official specification is only 5.7GHz. Is the rumor wrong? Not also. Under normal circumstances, the maximum frequency of the single-core acceleration of the Ryzen 9 7950X is indeed 5.7GHz, and the maximum allowable temperature is 95°C.

However, if your radiator is particularly powerful, such as advanced water cooling, which can keep the core temperature below 50°C, then the Ryzen 9 7950X can run out of the limit frequency of 5.85GHz, which AMD calls fMax.

In addition, the full-core acceleration frequency of the Ryzen 9 7950X is 5.1GHz, but the heat dissipation requirements are relatively high, and in most cases, it may only be 4.9-5.05GHz.

At the same time, it should be noted that the full core frequency of the two internal CCDs is not the same, and one may be slightly higher and the other slightly lower.

As for whether the three first models also have the fMax limit frequency, it is not clear for the time being.
