AMD Ryzen 7×40 series APU core display driver and Adrenalin 23.7.2 released

AMD has officially launched the core display driver for Ryzen 7×40 series APU (Phoenix Point series), you can find the driver corresponding to your current processor from AMD official website.

It’s worth mentioning that AMD recommends using OEM-supplied drivers that are customized and validated for their system-specific features and optimizations.

It is worth mentioning that netizen @OC_Formula also found a rather strange APU——Ryzen 7 7840S, the suffix is not the standard HS and U, nor is it the exclusive H in China.

AMD’s official website did not announce its specifications, but this processor uses the same driver as the R7 7840HS, which is expected to be an OEM customized version (update: confirmed as Lenovo’s customized FP8 package version R7 7840U).

The AMD R7 7840HS series processors were originally released in January this year, originally planned to be available in March, then postponed to April, and finally listed at the end of May.

Now, notebook computers equipped with R7 7840HS processors are already on the market in large numbers. For example, Lenovo’s Xiaoxin Pro series will be released at the end of this month, and it seems that they are waiting for the official driver.
