AMD releases Radeon PRO W7900 graphics card: Support for 48GB large memory

AMD released the Radeon PRO W7900 graphics card today. According to officials, this is the first professional graphics card based on the advanced AMD chiplet design and the first professional graphics card to support DisplayPort 2.1.

According to reports, the AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series graphics card uses the world’s first workstation GPU architecture based on AMD’s advanced chiplet (Chiplet) design, which can provide real multitasking performance and incredible energy efficiency. The new line of graphics cards is also the first professional workstation GPU to feature the AMD Radiance Display Engine with DisplayPort 2.1 support, delivering a superior visual experience, higher resolutions and more available colors than ever before.

The AMD Radeon PRP W7900 graphics card is designed for demanding workloads with 61 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single-precision performance, delivering 1.5X stronger geometry performance on the SPECviewperf 2020 benchmark. It also has 48GB of GDDR6 video memory, which is 1.5 times the memory capacity of the previous generation card’s 32GB. The AMD Radeon PRO W7800 graphics card is designed for heavy workloads, with 45 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single-precision performance and 32GB of GDDR6 memory.

The suggested retail price of the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 is $3,999 (Currently about 27,513 RMB). The suggested retail price of the AMD Radeon PRO W7800 is $2,499 (currently about RMB 17,193). AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series workstation graphics cards are expected to be available at leading e-commerce/retailers starting in Q2 2023. Products integrated in OEM and SI systems are expected to be available in the second half of 2023.
