According to HKEPC, AMD’s 12-core cache processor R9 7900X3D is now available in a 6 standard core + 6 large cache core design.

According to the report, the R9 7900X3D is 12 cores and 24 threads with two internal CCDs, a 6-core 3D V-Cache CCD and a 6-core standard CCD.

As a comparison, the flagship model R9 7950X3D is 16 cores and 32 threads with two internal CCDs, namely 8 cores of 3D V-Cache CCD and 8 cores of standard CCD.

HKEPC’s testing found that the Raider 7000 X3D processor will set the cores without 3D V-Cache to “Parked” when running games under the latest drivers. Therefore, HKEPC guesses that the R9 7900X3D with only 6-core 3D V-Cache CCD may lose to the 8-core R7 7800X3D.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D game processor and AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D game processor are now available, priced at 5299 yuan and 4499 yuan respectively. The 8-core R7 7800X3D will be available in April, and the price of the Bank of China has not yet been announced.

The parameters are as follows:

R9 7950X3D: 16 cores and 32 threads, up to 5.7GHz, 144MB cache, 120W TDP

R9 7900X3D: 12 cores 24 threads, up to 5.6GHz, 140MB cache, 120W TDP

R7 7800X3D: 8 cores 16 threads, up to 5.0GHz, 104MB cache, 120W TDP

[Update]: “aschilling” has now confirmed from AMD that the R9 7900X3D processor is indeed designed with 6 standard cores + 6 large cache cores.
