According to the report, McAfee told reporters after the meeting that the Ryzen 7040U series processor with a built-in AI engine was designed in deep cooperation with Microsoft. Intel will also adopt the same cooperation model to add VPU units to the new generation of processors.

McAfee pointed out that under the artificial intelligence computing framework provided by Microsoft, the software can choose AMD’s Ryzen AI engine or Intel VPU for accelerated computing through compilation. For developers, the software can automatically select different accelerators, so compatibility will not be affected.
