The latest version of AMD’s advanced cross-platform time-domain sampling amplification technology, FSR 2.2, is now available on GPUOpen.com, helping game developers access open-source APIs and source code.

According to reports, AMD FSR technology is designed to increase frame rates for supported games and provide incredible image quality. FSR 2.2 builds on the zoom-in quality improvements provided by FSR 2.1 and further improves image quality to reduce ghosting when fast-moving objects are present. Including FSR 1 and FSR 2 iterations, the widely adopted AMD FSR technology is now supported in 250 titles that have shipped or will be released soon, and the number of supported games is still growing.

AMD will announce more information about its image upscaling solutions and other technologies at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), March 20-24, 2023, designed to help game developers deliver Greater performance and visual fidelity. At GDC, AMD experts will discuss more topics including AMD FidelityFX technology, Microsoft DirectStorage, and the AMD Radeon Developer Toolkit.
