AMD did not release the RX 7800M series flagship model at CES this year, but debuted the 7600M and 7700S series mid-range models, focusing more on the balance of notebook performance and energy consumption.

According to AMD, the Radeon RX 7000M series graphics cards offer superior performance per watt, advanced visuals and a high frame rate gaming experience with an average performance 26% higher than the previous generation. The new AMD Radeon RX 7000S series graphics cards maximize the efficiency of AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture, delivering powerful performance for the latest games and content creation projects while running at 100W or less. The AMD Radeon RX 7700S graphics card supports high frame rate games, with an average 29% performance boost in certain 1080p games over the previous generation.

Parametrically, AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards offer up to 32 new unified compute units for laptops, 32MB of second-generation AMD cache technology, 8GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory, up to 128-bit memory interfaces, and dedicated AI and ray-tracing hardware. In addition, they support AI-accelerated video encoding and hardware-accelerated AV1 encoding, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution Sharp (FSR) technology and AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) technology, and advanced AMD Smart technologies.

Several leading OEMs have announced plans to begin delivering AMD UltraVantage Premier Platform laptops with the new AMD Ryzen RX 7000 series graphics and AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors starting in the first half of 2023, including Alien, ASUS, Yidao and IP3.
