AMD announces more low-cost B650 motherboards, expected to be available in Q1

AMD today announced that AMD will launch more AM5 motherboard categories, including a new low-cost B650 motherboard.

AMD said that in the first quarter of 2023, AMD partners will launch more B650 motherboards, which include many next-generation technologies and full support for overclocking any Ryzen 7000 series processor.

Previously, tipster harukaze5719 said that AMD and its partner manufacturers plan to launch new motherboards that support core features and remove elements such as PCIe 5.0 to achieve a better price/performance ratio.

AMD is currently selling AM5 motherboards including the B650 and X670 series, and the entry-level A620 series is expected to be launched soon. The picture above shows the mainstream MSI B650M Mortar Wi-Fi motherboard, with a current Jingdong price of RMB 1,599. AMD’s new A620 motherboard is expected to be more affordable and suitable for the Ryzen 7000 65W processor.
