Starting from March 1 this year, Microsoft announced a new feature for Win11 Insider members that supports using the mobile device’s camera as a PC camera. Microsoft today announced that this feature will be available to more Win11 Insiders.

It is learned that the functionality of the Android phone or tablet camera can be used in any video application on a Windows 11 PC.

With this feature, users will be able to wirelessly connect their mobile devices on their PCs and call up the high-end cameras of their mobile devices, which is flexible and convenient. In addition, Microsoft also supports switching between front and rear cameras, you can also pause the live broadcast when the connection is interrupted, and enjoy the beauty/filter effects provided by the mobile terminal.

Users need to ensure that the mobile device system is Android 9.0 and higher, and the “Link to Windows” app version is 1.24012 or higher.

To turn this feature on, find Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices, then select Manage devices and allow your computer to access your Android phone.
