At CES 2023, Acer released the new Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Chromebox CXI5 Enterprise Edition and Add-In-One 24 monitors, which can turn Chromebox into an all-in-one desktop. While ChromeOS devices typically do well in schools, Acer is marketing them for enterprises and commercial establishments, explaining that the devices save space and simplify maintenance, with less downtime and long-term cost savings.

Equipped with the latest technologies, including Intel vPro and integrated malware protection, these appliances are capable of supporting the multitasking capabilities and stringent security that organizations demand today.

Acer’s Chromebox CXI5 is equipped with Intel’s 12th generation Core i7 processor, which will have good performance when performing daily tasks, and the performance is improved by 20% compared with the previous generation processor. The CXI5 also has the Intel vPro platform built in for additional hardware-based security.

The enterprise version of CXI5 is similar to CXI5 but includes 24/7 IT management support and allows businesses to set Google Admin console policies. Automatic security updates that run in the background also help minimize disruption, Acer said.

If you buy the Add-In-One 24 monitor, you’ll get an Acer Chromebox CXI5 (or enterprise version), which fits into the dock on the back of the monitor. The monitor is 24 inches and supports FHD 1080p. It features a 5MP webcam with 115-degree wide-angle, dual microphones, and dual 4W speakers for video conferencing. AI is working in the background to help suppress background noise and make audio clearer. For those who like to stick tape over their webcams, this monitor also includes a camera-blocking shutter.

Acer Chromebox CXI5 will be launched in North America in Q1 of 2023, priced at US$290 (about 2004 RMB); it will be launched in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in March, priced at 349 euros (about 2576 RMB). The Add-In-One 24 monitor will be available in North America in Q1 2023 for $610 (approximately RMB 4,215), and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from March, priced at EUR 799 (approximately RMB 5,897).
