In a major breakthrough in single-board computing, AAEON introduces the de next-TGU8, the smallest board with an on-board Intel Core i-class processor, measuring just 3.31″ x 2.17″ (84 mm x 55 mm). The 11th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Celeron processors (formerly known as Tiger Lake-UP3) soldered to the device offers four cores and eight threads.

This capability ensures users can take advantage of the potential and scalability of the de next-TGU8’s 16GB of on-board LPDDR4x memory, which also includes an M.2 2280 M-Key (PCIe [x2]) for expansion capabilities such as AI acceleration, Wi-Fi and 4G modules.

The de next-TGU8 also provides an FPC slot for PCIe [x4] Gen 3 and an expansion slot kit for adding additional storage or connecting more advanced graphics cards that can replace Intel UHD core graphics among processors.

Despite being such a small motherboard, the de next-TGU8 is well equipped with interfaces, featuring dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2 and four USB 2.0 slots, and a dual display interface via HDMI and eDP ports.

Because of these features, AAEON believes de next-TGU8 is the product to usher in the next generation of edge AI applications in UAV and robotics.
