Another new Xbox X/S series grip design seems to have leaked, with Twitter user Espía de Ofertas spotting the “Lunar Shift” grip on Amazon, which appears to come with a silver effect and is described on the packaging as “surreal and glossy”. If the images are true, the grip would be able to “change color with light and movement” and would have a “unique color swirl design” on its body.
The discovery comes after it was revealed that retailer Microplay had listed a “mineral camouflage” Xbox controller, which was then officially released by Microsoft the following day and is available for immediate purchase for $70/£60.
Microsoft says: “The Mineral Camo Grip features a bold mineral blue, bright purple, aqua blue and dark purple camouflage pattern. This color scheme sets it apart from the rest of the Camo range, as its oceanic hues are inspired by geodesic crystals, finding the perfect balance between striking and understated.”
The Xbox X/S range launches in November 2020 and is initially available in three grip colors. Carbon Black, Robot White and Shock Blue. A number of additional grip colors have since been released, including Pulse Red, Electric Volt, White Stripe Camo, Aqua Special Edition, Deep Pink and Xbox 20th Anniversary Special Edition.
Microsoft launched a white version of the Xbox Elite Series 2 grip last week.
