AMD plans to release the Threadripper Pro 7000 series processors on October 19. Previously exposed information showed that the flagship model 7995WX has 96 cores and a frequency of over 5GHz.
Foreign technology media PCMag recently tested the Dell Precision 7875 workstation, shared the running score data of the Threadripper Pro 7995X processor, and compared it with Intel Xeon W9-3495X and AMD’s own previous generation Threadripper Pro 5995WX processor A comparison was made.
According to Cinebench R23 running results, the Threadripper Pro 7995X processor has a performance score of 100291 points, which is 80% higher than Intel W9-3495X and 58% higher than 5995WX.
Quoting another media, Videocardz, as reporting that AMD also held an overclocking event internally, overclocking all 96 cores of the Threadripper Pro 7995X processor to 4.4GHz, with a power of 620W. After overclocking, the score in Cinebench R23 was 148719 (148.7k) points, breaking the Cinebench R23 running record.
