Recently, we learned from foreign media that the 2024 Subaru WRX TR was officially launched and its price was announced at US$42,775 (approximately RMB 3,056.65 million). The new car has been upgraded to a certain extent based on the WRX, equipped with a Brembo braking system, a new suspension, Recaro sports seats and a manual transmission. In terms of power, it is still equipped with the classic 2.4T horizontally opposed turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
In terms of appearance, the front face of the new car adopts a hexagonal grille shape and is equipped with sharp headlights on both sides. The large air intakes in the front enclosure and the same tough and straight lines are full of performance attributes. On the engine cover, the tough muscular lines and the distinctive top air intake still continue the classic rally shape.
From the side of the car body, you can see that it has been designed with a small and wide body, and the segmented waistline makes the car body more dynamic. Detailed decorations such as side skirts and wheel eyebrows are all blackened. The wheels adopt a 19-inch composite styling style, and the tires are equipped with Bridgestone Potenza S007 to increase dry and wet grip and improve braking performance. In addition, the spoiler design at the rear of the car has also become controversial. The previously revealed pictures used a large-size spoiler shape, but this design was canceled in the official pictures.
In the interior, the new car comes standard with Recaro sports seats, which provide better driving support for the driver and front passengers. The seats are wrapped in black and gray Alcantara and leather, with red stitching embellishments in the details. In order to reduce weight and provide additional headroom for drivers wearing helmets, the new car has eliminated the sunroof.
In terms of power, the 2024 Subaru WRX TR is equipped with a classic 2.4T horizontally opposed turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 271 horsepower, a peak torque of 349 Nm, and an acceleration time of 0-96km/h in 5.5 seconds. The transmission system provides a 6-speed manual gearbox and will also be matched with a four-wheel drive system.
