Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) tablet has been certified again. This upcoming mid-range tablet has been certified by Switzerland’s SGS Fimko and South Korea’s Safety Korea. The latter also released real photos of the device, showing that its front design remains unchanged.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite series was originally released in 2020 and updated in 2022, and this update is expected to be mainly about chip and operating system upgrades like before.

Over the past few weeks, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) has appeared on the FCC (US), UL (Denmark), BIS (India), and Global Certification Forum databases. Recently, it has appeared on the websites of Safety Korea and SGS Fimko. The Wi-Fi version that has been certified this time is SM-P620. The 4G version is SM-P625, and the 5G version (if available) may be SM. -P627.

Photos of the real device released by South Korea’s safety certification agency show that the front design of the device is the same as the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The screen has wider bezels and a front-facing camera at the top. The tablet measures approximately 245mm x 155mm in length and width, which is basically the same as the 244.5 x 154.3 x 7 mm dimensions of the previous two generations.

SGS Fimko’s certification information also confirms that the battery capacity and charging speed of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) remain unchanged, still a 6840mAh battery (rated capacity) and 15W (9V / 1.67A) wired charging.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) will ship with Android 14 out of the box and be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1280 processor. In addition, it will be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.3, which is improved compared to the previous two generations of Bluetooth 5.0, and other configurations may remain unchanged.

There are rumors that Samsung will set the starting price of this tablet in Europe at 429 euros (Note: currently about 3355 yuan) or above. Except for the lowest Wi-Fi version, all other versions are expected to be priced lower than the 2022 version.
