2023 Samsung Smart Monitor M5, M7 and M8 released globally: up to 32-inch 4K screen

Samsung announced the global launch of the 2023 series of smart displays, and more countries/regions will usher in new products, but Samsung has not yet announced the specific price.

Samsung’s new Smart Display series includes three monitors: the M50C, M70C and M80C. The most affordable in its class, the M50C is available in 27″ and 32″ sizes, with FHD resolution, 250 nits peak brightness, HDR10, 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time (grey-to-grey) and 3000:1 contrast ratio.

Samsung Smart Display M50C has two HDMI 1.4 ports, two USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 5W+5W stereo speakers, and a remote with USB Type-C charging; Compatible with 100×100 VESA mounts, available in black and white Color, an additional USB dongle can be used to control SmartThings compatible smart home products.

Samsung Smart Display M70C is equipped with a 32-inch 4K screen with a peak brightness of 300 nits, supports HDR10, 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio and multi-view; supports 100×100 VESA installation, equipped with 5W+5W stereo speakers; uses Warm white, supports height, pivot and tilt adjustment; has an HDMI 2.0 port, a USB Type-C port (Note: Officially said to support 65W Power Delivery charging) and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports; Compatible with Samsung’s Slim Fit Cam webcam.

The highest-end device in Samsung’s 2023 Smart Display lineup is the M80C, featuring a 32-inch 4K screen with 400 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, 60Hz refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 4ms response time; built-in support for SmartThings, ZigBee and Thread (Matter) protocol support; the stand supports height, pivot, and tilt adjustments; comes in daylight blue, spring green, sunset pink, and warm white colors, has two 5W speakers in stereo mode, and comes with a remote that supports USB Type-C charging; A Slim Fit Cam webcam is included in the box.

The Samsung Smart Displays M50C, M70C and M80C run Tizen OS, support all popular audio and video streaming services, have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity; also feature AirPlay 2, Miracast, Samsung DeX support, Multi View (two video streams ), Samsung Gaming Hub, Microsoft 365, Workspace, and Google Meet video calling capabilities, and it also has a far-field microphone that can receive voice commands for Bixby and Alexa.
