The ZTE Nubian Z50 has launched, and it comes with some big photography claims, which it backs up with a flagship processor. This device succeeds the Nubian Z40 Pro that became official, making use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The new entry from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer comes with many upgrades in comparison with its predecessor.
One of the biggest upgrades with this new device from ZTE is its processor and camera abilities. For its processor, the new device uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which combines up to 16GB worth of memory capacity. This is the first device from ZTE to make use of the new Snapdragon flagship processor, it also comes with up to 1TB worth of storage.

As for its camera abilities, this device comes with a 64MP main lens, a 50MP ultrawide, and a multi-channel sensor. For its selfie camera, the ZTE Nubian Z50 comes with a 16MP sensor that sits in the centre screen cutout. ZTE also boasts tons of shooting modes for its camera system, which helps improve the quality of pictures taken.
The design of this smartphone is distinct, and it comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen supporting a 144Hz refresh rate. Many might expect this smartphone to come with an under-display selfie camera, but it doesn’t, that bragging right is exclusive to the ZTE Axon series. For this device’s design, ZTE threw a splash of red on various parts of the device. Areas such as the main camera cutout and the power button have that splash of red.
This device runs on Android 13 and gets customization from the ZTE MyOS 13 giving the system a unique feel. The ZTE Nubian Z50 comes with a 5000mAh battery capacity and 80W wired charging. Currently, this device is available for pre-order in China at a starting price of $430 for the base memory variant.
