At COMPUTEX 2023, Sony announced the world’s first MINI PC with solid-state active cooling technology: the ZBOX PI430AJ.
Officially, the mini-PC is equipped with two fanless active cooling modules, AirJet Minis, which are extremely small in size and operate at low noise levels, allowing the ZBOX PI430AJ to efficiently and quietly dissipate heat using high-speed airflow.
According to Sotai, thanks to the excellent design and performance of AirJet, Sotai introduced the Intel Core i3-class processor for the first time in the PICO ultra-mini series of hosts and paired with 8GB LPDDR5 memory and M.2 SSD storage, the performance is quite good.
The so-called “solid-state cooling solution”, i.e., abandoning the traditional fan cooling method, is inside the AirJet are tiny membranes that vibrate at ultrasonic frequencies, and these membranes generate strong airflow into the AirJet through the top vents and take away heat from a separate vent.
The new ZBOX PI430AJ from Sony will be available within the year, priced at $499 (Currently about RMB 3548).
