Zen architecture father Jim Keller (Jim Keller) recently revealed in an interview that compared to Zen 4, AMD’s upcoming Zen 5 single-core performance will improve by 30%, clock frequency higher than 4.0GHz, and power consumption stable at less than 250 watts.

Jim Keller played a key role in AMD’s development of Athlon 64 and is known in the industry as the father of Zen architecture. He spent the last 10 years jumping around, working at Apple, Tesla, Intel, and AMD before joining Tenstorrent, an AI-focused chipmaker, where he quickly became CEO.

The report that Tenstorrent is currently working on the Ascalon processor and said that its performance exceeds Intel’s Sapphire Rapids (7.45 points), NVIDIA’s Grace (7.44 points) and AMD’s Zen 4 (6.80 points), while Zen 5 scored 8.84 points.
