At the same time, some sales staff said that the new P7 will be named P7i, which will be announced this week, and the show car will arrive at the store around March 10.
Today, the new Xpeng P7i is officially unveiled. It is reported that the new car will be listed in mid-March.
As a mid-term facelift of the Xpeng P7, there is not much difference in appearance, mainly in the interior details, the addition of laser radar, and the power has also been improved. The upgrade points mainly lie in:
Added an interstellar green color scheme (bright paint surface), which is younger than the green of the G9 commemorative edition;
The battery is upgraded from 81 kWh to 86 kWh, but the thickness remains at 110 mm;

Let me briefly introduce this new car to you. Although the P7i did not make a major change to the appearance, its headlight group accommodated a new left and right lidar, so the new P7i’s light group was stretched inward a little, and the original high and low beams also changed. From the original left and right placement to a more compact top and bottom placement, the high beam illumination range has increased by 20%.
Another obvious change is that the P7i rear row is equipped with privacy glass as standard, and the owner no longer needs to paste the privacy glass film after picking up the car; and the entire series is equipped with electric suction doors as standard, and the position of the side camera is changed from the original The pure black design has been changed to a silver and black color contrast design, and an external switch for the trunk has been added.
Perhaps because of the changes in the taillights and tailgate, the length of the Xpeng P7i has increased to 4888 mm, which is 8 mm higher than the old model. The width, height and wheelbase of the car are exactly the same as the old model.
The new car has a lot of changes in assisted driving. First, the forward-sensing camera has changed from the original trinocular camera solution to the binocular camera solution of the wide-angle + telephoto camera. These two cameras have been upgraded to 8 megapixels and are equipped with XPILOT 4.0 assisted driving hardware, which is exactly the same as the Max version of G9.
This new car is equipped with dual lidar, the second-generation intelligent assisted driving system XNGP, the second-generation visual perception architecture, XNet deep visual neural network, and a full-stack self-developed system. The MAX version is also equipped with dual Orin-X chips and equipped with 31 sensing elements, with a computing power level of up to 508TOPS, which is significantly improved compared to the 30TOPS computing power of the old model.
In addition, the SR instrument environment simulation display system has also been upgraded. The new instrument environment simulation display is based on the pure visual perception ability of XNet, and the real world is three-dimensionally projected into the car screen, presenting the driving perception information during human driving and car driving in real-time. Xpeng P7i has made many adjustments in the interior. For example, the biggest change in the front interior is the redesign of the central armrest area. In terms of details, the armrest box is upgraded to be reversible left and right, a new car fragrance system, a liftable cup holder, a vertical wireless charging stand, interactive buttons and storage space, and the charging interface in the central area has changed from the original low-power Type A interface. It has been upgraded to a Type C interface with a maximum power of 60 W, and the maximum power of the 12 V fast charging interface is still 180 W.
In addition, the new car uses the same Xsmart OS 4.0 system as the Xpeng G9, and with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, the fluency is significantly improved compared to the old model; the new car is also equipped with the four-tone voice on the G9, and the voice recognition is accurate. The instruction execution speed is fast, and it also supports the continuous execution of multiple instructions in multiple locations.
It is worth mentioning that the Dynaudio audio of Xpeng P7i has been upgraded from the original 7.1.2 channel to 7.1.4 channel, with a maximum power of 860 W.
In terms of seats, the new car has also been improved, including the optimization of the height of the shoulders of the front seats, the lengthening of the rear seat cushions, and the optimization of the rear inclination angle to 28°, and the multi-layer composite slow-rebound sponge is used inside the seat cushions. The sense of wrapping has improved. In terms of power, the new car still provides two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models to choose from, and has been optimized for the software system. Among them, the two-wheel drive model has a maximum power of 203kW, a maximum torque of 440N∙m, an acceleration time of 0-100km/h of 6.4s, and a cruising range of 670km and 702km under CLTC conditions; The 0-100km/h acceleration time is 3.9s, and the cruising range under CLTC conditions is 610km.
In the fast charging mode, the two-wheel drive model can charge 240km in 10 minutes, and the four-wheel drive model can charge 210km in 10 minutes. Both models can be charged from 10% to 80% within 30 minutes.
