Don’t know when the number of cameras on the back case of cell phones is getting more and more prominent, and now, it has become a luxury to put the phone flat on the table. Recently, a patent called “camera module and terminal device” (application number: CN202221481995.4), was applied by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co.
According to the schematic diagram, the patent redesigned the structure of the existing cell phone camera module on the basis of its structure, and successfully reduced the overall height of the module by adding a large number of recess nesting structures.
With this set of patents, Xiaomi is theoretically able to compress the module volume without affecting the lens imaging effect, and to a certain extent alleviate or solve the problem of the bulging rear camera of the phone.
However, among the other patents, Xiaomi has disclosed together with this patent, there is also a patent related to lens infinitely zoom, and the addition of more mechanical structures will inevitably affect the overall thickness of the module.
This means that at this stage, with thinner modules and better lens technology, there is no way to take into account for the time being.
