In March 2021, Xiaomi Group officially announced the next car; on September 1 of the same year, Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd. was established, legal representative Lei Jun, registered a capital of 10 billion yuan; November 27 of the same year, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee and Xiaomi officially signed a cooperation agreement, officially announced that Xiaomi Automobile settled in Beijing Economic Development Zone. Xiaomi Auto will be built in two phases, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units in each phase, and is expected to be officially mass-produced in the first half of 2024.
