Xiaomi’s automotive technology conference is underway, and Xiaomi’s self-developed 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform has been officially unveiled. Lei Jun said that current models with over 500V can be called 800V, and Xiaomi SU7’s 800V platform has a maximum voltage of 871V.
At the same time, the 800V high-voltage battery pack carried by the car was completed by thousands of engineers from Xiaomi and CATL over two years, and the battery cells were not self-developed. This battery uses Xiaomi’s self-developed CTB battery body integration technology. Officially claimed that the thickness of the battery pack + floor is 120mm, the volume efficiency reaches 77.8%, and the wiring harness is reduced by 91%, thereby reducing the wiring harness space by 3%.
In terms of detailed parameters, the battery has a maximum power of 150kWh, which can achieve a range of more than 1,200km under CLTC conditions (the upper limit of the platform). Under the “mature system”, the battery has a maximum power of 132kWh, and a range of more than 1,000km under CLTC conditions.
In terms of safety, the battery also boasts the “industry’s first” cell inversion technology, with 17 layers of high-voltage insulation protection, the largest cooling area of 7.8m² in its class, and uses 165 pieces of aerogel for heat insulation. In addition, Xiaomi Auto also supports the car-cloud collaborative safety warning system, which claims to have 10 times the industry-level detection frequency, 2 times the national standard data volume and 24-hour cloud protection.
