Xiaomi is known to be a big seller in the Indian market, even occupying the most popular smartphone brand for three consecutive years, in large part because of its low-cost Redmi Note series of smartphones.
Xiaomi has now officially announced that the Redmi Note series is now eight years old in India and has shipped more than 72 million units since the first smartphone was released in 2014.
In fact, the Redmi Note series has been one of the best-selling series of Xiaomi’s products and is expected to make another huge breakthrough in phone sales in 2022. Xiaomi’s retail network is reportedly expanding rapidly overseas, with 3,000 Xiaomi stores and service centers in India alone.
The Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S are currently priced at INR 12,999 (about 1,123 CNY) and INR 15,999 (about 1,382 CNY) in India, with more new models expected to be launched.
