The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series will be launched on Thursday, October 27 at 19:00, and today it was officially announced that it will debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor.
Xiaomi said: “Xiaogang two generations a year, experience Xiaogang this generation, we have to give you a stable, smooth, long-lasting feeling of use”.
The Redmi Note 11T series in the first half of the year focused more on performance, while the Redmi Note 12 series in the second half will focus on “experience”.
Announced on October 11, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 is built on TSMC’s 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU with two ARM Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz.
The MediaTek Skyguard 1080 has a Mali-G68 GPU and supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 memory modules.
In addition, the MediaTek Breguet 1080 can process image data from the sensor via Imagiq ISP up to 200MP (previously 108MP) and supports quad cameras. The Skyguard 1080 also integrates a hardware-grade 4K HDR video recording engine for better dark light capture.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro will feature a Sony IMX766 main camera with a 1/1.56″ large base and 2μm fused large pixels with OIS optical stabilization support. In terms of charging, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 is expected to come with a 67W charger, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro + will support 120W and 210W fast charging respectively.
