Xiaomi Redmi K50i was launched today in India, corresponding to the domestic Redmi Note 11T Pro, equipped with the Tiangui 8100 chip.

The Redmi K50i has roughly the same configuration as the Redmi Note 11T Pro, with a MediaTek Tiangui 8100 chip, 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 144Hz refresh 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen, a 5080mAh battery, and support for 67W fast charging.

In terms of cameras, the Redmi K50i features a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle and 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera. It also has a side fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, infrared emitter, 3.5mm headphone jack and IP53 certification for dust and water resistance.

Notably, the Redmi K50i also offers 5G support in India, making it the first Redmi model to support 12 5G bands. It also includes 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. However, unlike in China, the Redmi K50i does not offer NFC.

On the software side, the Redmi K50i comes with MIUI 13 pre-installed based on Android 12. Xiaomi promises to provide two years of Android updates and three years of security updates for the device.

The Redmi K50i will go on sale in India on July 23 in three colorways, with the following prices.

6GB + 128GB: INR 25,999 (about Rs. 2,196.92)

8GB + 256GB: INR 28,999 (approx. Rs. 2450.42)
