The much-awaited next generation of the foldable smartphone from the house Xiaomi has been officially unveiled. The Xiaomi MIX Fold is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset and has many other things to offer. Let’s have a look at the complete specifications and price of the device.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 2; specifications and features
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 has an 8.2-inches interior Eco OLED screen with 2.5K screen resolution and up to 120Hz high refresh rate support. The interior display has support for ultra-thin glass material to further improve the quality of the foldable machines. When unfolded, we have a 6.5-inch Samsung E5 Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Both displays are provided with Dolby Vision, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and TrueColor.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 5G chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard internal storage. It is powered by a 4500mAh battery coupled with 67W fast wired charging. It will boot up on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 right out of the box. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 has a thickness of 5.4mm when unfolded. When folded, it measures 11.2mm. The device weighs around 262 grams.

Coming down to the cameras, it has got a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary Sony IMX766 camera sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilization, a 13-megapixels secondary ultrawide and an 8-megapixels telephoto zoom lens with 2X optical zoom support. It further supports 8K and Dolby Atmos HDR format video recording support. We have a 20-megapixels IMX596 selfie snapper which is housed under the display.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 comes in 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB storage configurations. It is priced at CNY 8,999 (~$1,335), CNY 9,999 (~$1,483) and CNY 11,999 (~$1,780) respectively. The device will be available in Black and Gold colour options. The device is up for pre-boking and will go on sale in India starting August 16th, 2022.
