The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will join the set of foldable flagship devices that will launch in the month of August. The company confirmed the launch date of this foldable device to be on August 11. This is coming in proximity with other foldable flagship devices that we are expecting to see launch this month.
Samsung on its part will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 on August 10. Following this launch will be the Motorola RAZR 2022 launch just a day after the Samsung event. Xiaomi will also take to the launch stage on the same day as Motorola to announce their new foldable device alongside other products.

Xiaomi did a good job keeping information on this device to a bare minimum, leaving us to scramble for the features of this device. This foldable device will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, leaving the more powerful 8+ Gen 1 processor for Samsung and Motorola foldable. It will as well come with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.
The folding screen’s dimensions are not available, but we expect the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 to launch with a 6.5-inch outer screen. If we are correct about the outer screen size, then when unfolded, the internal screen should measure about 8-inches. For the camera abilities of this folding device, we expect it to come with a 50MP main camera sensor (Leica branding) and a 13MP secondary camera. The number of rear and front-facing cameras this foldable device will pack isn’t clear.
We will get information on this device once it launches. The foldable device will not be the only launch Xiaomi will make during Lei Jun’s annual speech on August 11. There will also be a 12.4-inch tablet and the Xiaomi Bud 4 Pro. The launch of all three devices is not far off, once available we will update you with their prices and full specifications.
