GSMChina discovered that Xiaomi MIX Flip is currently undergoing testing and is expected to be officially released as soon as May.
This phone will be launched in mainland China and global markets, with the internal code name “Ruyi”, model number “2405CPX3DC/G” (the suffix C means the Chinese version, G means the global version), and the development code name “N8” (MIX) 4 is K8).
As far as the current information is known, MIX Flip will be Xiaomi’s first small folding/clamshell folding screen product and will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 (SM8650) flagship platform.
Combined with previous reports from @digitalchatstation, Xiaomi MIX Flip did not ultimately adopt a satellite communication solution, but provided a telephoto and large battery solution.
The blogger said in February this year that Xiaomi’s small vertical folding phone uses a domestically produced screen with “zero-perception creases”. The dual-camera small module and secondary screen design are relatively simple, using a 50M outsole main camera + vertical telephoto.
At present, Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, and vivo have all adopted the dual-line parallel strategy of “big folding + small folding”, while Xiaomi and Honor have only launched “big folding” phones. The launch of Xiaomi MIX Flip will also provide users with more choices.
Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the release time of these two new phones.
