Xiaomi might be planning to launch a budget tablet under its Redmi line, the tablet is the Redmi Pad 5G! The Android tablet market is getting more competitive as days go by, and Redmi will make an entry into this space. There is no available product listing or announcement from the company pointing out the coming of a tablet from Redmi.
Asides from the available leaks regarding this device, Xiaomi might have dropped a hint about the presence of the Redmi Pad 5G. This hint came in the form of a questionnaire from the MIUI User Research Department requesting to know the type of tablet in use. The given options were Xiaomi tablet 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro, and the Redmi Pad 5G.
This is not the first time that something has come up regarding a certain Redmi tablet with the same name as seen on the questionnaire. In 2020, a self-made product banner surfaced online and the device shown on it was the Redmi Pad 5G. Therefore, the question is this, is there a Pad 5G, if yes, why delay the Pad 5G this long considering that it was identified 2 years ago.
Possibly, Xiaomi intends to launch a tablet under the Redmi brand, launch date or specs of this device are not certain. But, from the name of the device, we can be sure that whenever it hits the market it’ll have support for a 5G connection. It’ll also feature the Magic Center experience from Xiaomi. This “magic experience” is a project that will help tablet users easily share content across any Xiaomi device. A little version of Huawei’s multi-device collaboration, as featured on HarmonyOS and Huawei devices.
